You’ll be in world-class hands under the guidance of local expert Alexey Tarasov: a seasoned pilot with over 30 years of experience, a certified instructor since 1990, competition pilot since 1992, PWC competitor since 2017, and director or safety director at major international events, including PWCA competitions, since 2023.

Your ultimate Central Asian paragliding adventure begins the moment you touch down at Almaty Airport, where we will transport you to the charming village of Tekeli. You will wake up right next to the launch site in comfortable accommodations featuring relaxing amenities, including a swimming pool to unwind in after a long day in the sky. Tekeli serves as a perfect playground for ridge soaring and short cross-country (XC) flights, set against a backdrop of massive mountain peaks. Each morning kicks off with a comprehensive briefing from our experienced local guides, who map out recommended routes tailored to the day's weather. With hands-on takeoff assistance and active team-flying support in the air, you are guaranteed to get the absolute most out of every flight.
After several thrilling days in Tekeli, the tour transitions to Uzynagash, a dynamic flying site situated closer to Almaty. Here, the higher ridges unlock the ideal setting for spectacular, long-distance XC flights. Pilots will experience the best of both worlds, seamlessly transitioning between expansive flatland gliding and complex mountain flying while soaking in unrivaled, panoramic views of the majestic Tian Shan Mountains.
We prioritize your safety and convenience from start to finish by equipping every participant with a personal tracking device and providing dedicated 4WD vehicle retrieves at the end of all flying days. Even when the weather keeps our feet on the ground, the adventure continues. For non-flyable days, we have arranged curated scenic excursions, including a trip to explore the stunning peaks of Shymbulak, the largest ski resort in Central Asia.

You will be flying from the exact venues trusted to host Central Asia’s first Paragliding World Cup, fully supported by a local organization deeply rooted in aviation excellence.
Your experience in the air is overseen by our lead guide, Alexey Tarasov, a Paragliding World Cup competitor and 2023 Kazakhstan National Champion with over three decades of flight experience. His guiding philosophy—maximum safety, maximum fun—is backed by years spent developing national safety certification systems, testing wings, and authoring essential paragliding safety texts.

Your tour experience includes:
Dedicated Retrieval: A professional driver and logistics to maximise flying opportunities and assist pilots wherever practical and safely accessible.
Fleet Tracking: Every guest flying on our tours is equipped with a high-performance FANET / OGN (Open Glider Network) live tracking unit.
Seamless Transport: Pick-ups and drop-offs to Almaty Airport at the start and end of your tour as well as transport between flying sites.
Accommodation: Private rooms with private bathroom and toilet is provided.
Expert Support: Local paragliding lead guide with extensive local weather knowledge, radio coaching, theory lessons, briefings, and debriefs.

Requirements
. To maintain a high standard of safety and quality, we have established the following requirements:
Minimum Pilot Requirements: The tour is designed for experienced PG3-PG5 pilots (or equivalent international license, e.g., IPPI P3, NZHGPA PG2) with previous inland thermaling and cross country experience. Pilots should be able to demonstrate they have done at least 30 hours of inland flying experience including thermaling and cross country.
Insurance: International travel insurance that covers solo paragliding activities, e.g., CoverMore
GPS tracker: e.g., Garmin inReach, SPOT
Radio with all 80 NZ/AUD channels
Emergency kit including bivy/ survival gear
Sustenance: adequate food/ water, and a power bank for long retrieve or walk-out scenarios

Step 4: Around 90 days before the tour, we will have an online briefing with our local lead guides, David and Alexey, and we will finalize our group. We highly recommend not buying non-refundable flights before finalizing the tour.
